Born and raised right here in Abilene, his roots run deep in Texas. His late parents were well-known and respected in this community for generations, and he grew up immersed in traditional Texas culture—even spending his younger years competing in the rodeo. Today, his greatest title isn't cowboy; it's "PoPo," a name given to him by his three granddaughters, who along with his great-grandson, are the absolute light of his life.

The business was named in their honor, and it’s built on the values he holds closest: faith in God, love for country, and devotion to family.

At his core, PoPo is a true people person. He started this business because he loves setting up at local fairs and events, striking up conversations, swapping stories, and genuinely connecting with his neighbors. He treats everyone who walks into his booth like an old friend.

When he isn't working or spending time with his family, he enjoys keeping up with the local high school football scores and attending his granddaughters' soccer games.
